Hello Betul, hope you’re good 🙂 allow to comment here for some reason
I did one year DEA in criminal law (Diplôme d’études approfondies / Degree of Profound Studies) and it was exhausting and took a lot of my time and at the end I couldn’t study for the final exam, so I didn’t have the degree, but believe me if I was stubborn enough and really wanted it, I would have studied and succeed but I let myself crawl under the weight of my problems back then
I can see from your posts that you have listed all the problems of the PhD student but can you list why you’re doing your PhD? The benefits, the motivation, the reason…I guess when you do, you’ll overcome all the problems and you will succeed, and make a list of your priorities in life, if it’s family, and you’re neglecting them, then try to make a bigger effort, if you think it’s not worth is all this pain, you can always change.
Make a list of both benefits and priorities and things will become clearer. But remember no pain no gain, the more we want, the more we need to work very hard to get it, the question is: do we really want it?
Hope my answer helped a bit
Hey this was uplifting! I love doing research, so I will go on with my PhD. That, I don’t have a doubt about. I think the main issue I am facing right now is that now that I am towards the end of it and expectations are getting bigger and more stressful, my previous strategies on life balance are failing and I am trying to keep it. I think making a list of good things about PhD will probably refresh me and make me find ways to better deal with the stress. This will eventually help me find stress-relievers that will work. Thanks for the lovely comment!
My pleasure really! Glad it helped a bit
I know what you mean, yes the more we’re closer, the more it’s terrifying but hey you came this far so never surrender! Remember it’s the darkest before the dawn, these are not just words, it’s very true! A list will be helpful then so focus on it 🙂
this post was the shit. poor PhD students. it sucks to not feel comfortable getting a breather. it is so unnatural for the body to be in that type of stress everyday, 24/7. a petri dish for mental health issues. good coping, I wish you. and…working is so much easier than school, I think, for this strict schedule reason. school…it is eternally absorbing energy and attention. work, unless under a management position, allows some shuteye. but if one has kids, kids are basically the aspect of working that puts workers in a 24/7 crunch. A parent’s job does not stop when they come home from breadwinming, unfortunately. But I am entirely offtopic.
Hey, thanks for the comment! You are not off-topic. PhD is indeed similar to parenting in that aspect and it is not easy. But we are trying to cope with it, thinking of the good aspects as motivators.
Good😄
Hmmm….lately there are some misunderstanding between me and my teacher who should me for no reason. There are but just minor, she blast it out bigger. Every day, she want to blame me and asking hurtful Questions😭
But who cares🙍
I am just gonna be strong and stress free.😎
Things happen. I think for me, it was interesting to see that ‘professors’ or also teachers were also humans, because in my mind, before that, they should have been infallible. As long as it is temporary, give it to their human nature and ignore. But if it consistent, then maybe don’t ignore it.
I think the best way to go about it is to read, like and comment on the posts of a page. You can then contact the owner of the page about it. Technically, you are given access to part of the page so you can post. I hope that helps.
😀🙏❤Thank you so much for following my site!😍God bless you!!💕

Thank you! Do you mean how it technically works or how it started?

Yah! The latter, more specifically. How does it get started?
Then I guess telling me how it technologically works would help. Ya just post on someone else’s page?
Thanks for the knowl, in advance :>
