I think the real crude reality is many can be in the same room or space day after day and be complete strangers. We live in a society that preaches acceptance but when is the last time someone actually engaged in intellectual conversation.
This made me think of a new song by Tanya Tucker called “Bring my flowers now.” The chorus goes:
Bring my flowers now, while I’m living
I won’t need your love when I’m gone
Don’t spend time, tears, or money
On my old breathless body
If your heart is in them flowers, bring ’em on
Subtle!

For me, it depends.
We maybe close physically. But, emotionally, I don’t know.
Btw, interesting questions 😊👍

For me, it is hard when there is distance, although not impossible. Thanks for the comment:)
