Let’s complete this story!
As she held her book in her hand, she raised her head up. She stared just in front of her. She knew she needed to do something today but she could not remember what. She found it hard to concentrate on the book because of that, and she wanted to remember it. Alas, it just was not happening. So, she returned to her book. After a few paragraphs, it came to her finally. She had a job interview today. How fool was she to forget that? She quickly got up, got dressed and left home. [Your continuation goes here]
She was already running a little late and to make things even worse she almost got splattered by a car- a very expensive car. Now her white shirt was no longer white but had irregular spots of muddy brown all over, clearly, this was not her day. Furious, she looked at the driver of the fancy car who was repeatedly chanting sorry to make everything better.
“I am so sorry, I didn’t see you…my driver ditched today and I was in a hurry…so…I am so sorry. Hope you are okay?”
She was fuming with anger after listening to him, “NO! I AM NOT OKAY. You think only you rich people have work…I was in a hurry too. Your sorry will not make anything better. I will miss my interview because of you.”
“Please, get in. Let me drop you, it will save you some time. I will also buy you a new shirt.”
She got in the car, not wanting to waste any more time. She heard him telling someone to get a shirt over the phone. Before she could tell him the address, he was pulling over.

“This will only take a minute, you can change your shirt here.” He gestured with his hand toward a building. She was about to decline the offer but realised that it was the same place where she had her interview. Without thinking anything much about the situation she quickly got out and went inside.
Later, her name was called for the interview. It was her turn now. She stepped inside with her explanation and apology ready for being late and started, “Hello Sir, I am very soo..” She stopped when he turned around and she saw his face.
“I know what happened, don’t worry about that. Some people don’t care about others at all.”, he said with a slight smirk.
And she knew then that it was going to be a very interesting interview.

Oh that is a very interesting ending. I did not expect this! But lovely! Coincidences can be good but also interesting, as in your story. I am now curious how the interview went:)

She was almost at the office. just a few minutes more. Thankfully the traffic was light and she had a few minutes to spare. She’d liked to have checked her papers ahead of the interview but she had been forced to stand and the constant jolting of the bus reinforced her discomfort. and her annoyance at the rude lout who had refused to take his feet off the only vacant seat on the bus.
The bus stopped right outside her building and she leapt out and charged up the stairs to her office.
Mmm, that IS a good coffee she thought to herself as she scanned the papers in front of her. Not long now, she thought and, as if on cue, the office receptionist cum secretary gestured the first candidate of the day. He stood at the door and she could tell from his crestfallen face that he had wished he’d moved his feet from that seat 😉
