Let’s complete this story.
The smell of the morning was attractive. As she watched outside of the window and saw the world waking up, she felt joy inside. It had been a while since she felt this and she was happy she could feel it. When she was lost in her thoughts, she noticed something on her window. [Your continuation goes here]

……….., she noticed something on her window. As she walked to the window, her heartbeat goes high, she opens the window in a rush and looks at this tiny, dark blue, rectangular box, there is a small bow made out of a sky blue ribbon. She looks out quickly to see who left it there. There was a paper underneath it, which seems to be torn off of an old diary. The paper reads, “welcome, neighbor!”. That’s the best thing that has happened since she moved from a fancy NY city apartment to this small old-school town.
Thanks for this nice prompt. 🙂

…..she noticed something on her window. A scarlet rose. Shivers ran down her spine. There’s no way he had found her again! All hope dashed, she ran for her full-length coat and purse, and scrambled out of her door. Only to backtrack and pick up Suzie Q, her long-time cat companion.
She was on the run again.

a reflection of her face staring back at her like a ghost. She felt happy in the realization that this ghost no longer haunted her dreams or the moments she enjoyed. Light manifested, driven by the breaking clouds and great eastern sun. Just like that, the ghost vanished, the world appeared.

May it never appear again! She should see the world as it is. I like this!

It was the tiniest of dragons, finally returned, alit upon her windowsill. They (the Dragonkind) had been gone for so very long from the world.
It was eating a grape – no doubt stolen from her neighbour’s vineyard. She recognized the variety.
The drakeling seemed at peace in her presence, and when its grape was consumed, the wee dragon burped a tiny flame, regarded her (thoughtfully, she thought), and then took wing, mixing itself in a buzz among the flowers and bees, back into the countryside.
She saw the sky in a new, warm light. Nature was returning to them at last, having fully forgiven.

She noticed a fly imprisoned by a spider’s web. For a brief moment life had been normal and now she was reminded that like the fly she was held prisoner by strings she had not noticed before, but now she knew she was entwined with no escape.

Haha, yes of course. My habit as a painter is always contrast light and shadow. The start was so heartwarming, light, and optimistic that, especially in our quarantine, we can take light and optimism for granted. Thank you Betul for these exercises. Im only beginning to write now, a book on art. I never did it in school, and you seem like the perfect teacher, kind, creative, and smart.

This looks fun!
She noticed something on her window. She saw a faint prism of light, a rainbow of sorts, as the morning sun reached the corner of the glass. A rainbow always reminded her of God’s promises. The past two months she had faced her fears of the past as she was reunited with her daughter after 40 years. Her faith had been tried and challenged. God had been faithful. God had answered her prayers. Could she trust Him with her future now that her secret would no longer be a secret? Could she ever make up for the last 40 years? The peace she felt at that very moment gave her an assurance that anything was possible with God. And she smiled the faintest of smiles with just one tear trailing down her cheek. She had hope.
