Hi everyone!
Let’s talk about emotions today. I want to talk about them in a pure observational way. No trying to understand, no whys. The main questions I am curious about is whether there is a dominant feeling in your life and whether there are specific emotions associated with specific times of the day.
Starting with the first: I think currently, there is no dominant emotion because they change too much. I am at a confused stage. But I have also been in some exceptional times. But I was (maybe still actually am?) a consistently happy person. Of course, I felt stressed at times, sad sometimes, but my default would always be happiness. When I woke up, I woke up happy. This was almost without exception. I asked my mom what kind of a kid I was before school and all. She said the same thing: that I was a…

How did it evolve into hope?

Because I still got up every morning. Realizing that I got up every morning meant I was looking forward to the day. Whether it was a great cup,of tea, or a chapter in a book, I made sure there was a little something to look forward to. Then I began little rituals, things I would do on Tuesday or Wednesday. A walk in a different park, window shop in a different street. Every time I thought to do or try something it signified hope. But it all starts with getting out of bed and facing the day.

Nice! I really like this mindset. It shows gratitude for every little thing.

Good approach! It is about patience. I tend to get irritated if I don’t reach the end right away.

We all do that sometimes….but eventually we get it right…or sort of right…

I am so relating to that. Personally my hope sparked from the thought of being in a stagnant emotional place and honestly I really needed a breakthrough and I am very happy in the emotional space I am in now.

I am glad you are! I think what matters is that we are able to get out.

My emotions fluctuate not only during the day, but during the week. I generally start out inquisitive and energetic in the beginning of the day/week, then get depressed closer the evenings/weekends. By Sunday evening i’ve made peace with my particular situation and i’m ready for a “reset”.

Then, maybe, it is better to accept it and make the best out of it.

Good question 👍! For me I tend to be a happy, glass half full type of person (self awareness, mindfulness etc helps to continue that process – especially during these times). Practising gratitude each morning for the little things and capturing those negative thoughts when they arise: makes it a little easier to deal with, when not feeling as happy/upbeat! Thank you for this post & have a lovely day😊🙏

Gratitude is a great practice! I try to do it at the end of the day, think about what I am grateful for that specific day. You have a great day too!

Thank you for sharing!!.. I just follow my heart, rarely go wrong… “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” ( Roy T. Bennett )… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
Brightened by a song
in your heart,
And warmed by the smiles
of people you love.
